Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026. This AUP governs what you may send through RabbitMail. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate suspension.
1. Legal compliance
You must comply with all applicable laws for every recipient, including the US CAN-SPAM Act, CASL (Canada), GDPR/UK GDPR and ePrivacy (EU/UK), and equivalent laws elsewhere. You are solely responsible for your sending.
2. Required in every message
- A truthful “From”, reply-to, and subject line — no deception or header falsification.
- A clear, working opt-out and a valid physical postal address.
- Prompt honoring of unsubscribe requests (we suppress them automatically; do not circumvent this).
3. Prohibited content and targeting
- Purchased, scraped, or non-consented lists where consent is legally required.
- Phishing, malware, fraud, deceptive claims, or impersonation of a person or brand.
- Illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative content; regulated goods where prohibited.
- Targeting individuals who have opted out, or recipients in jurisdictions where your sending is unlawful.
4. Deliverability & infrastructure
- No tactics designed to evade spam filters, blocklists, or provider limits (e.g. snowshoeing, hash-busting).
- Respect provider terms for any connected mailboxes (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.).
- Keep spam-complaint and bounce rates low; sustained high rates will trigger automatic pausing.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate accounts, pause mailboxes, or remove content. We may report unlawful activity to authorities.
6. Reporting
